When it comes to jean styles my go-to will always be the skinny jean. However, sometimes I want something not so fitted that feels a little bit more casual (read: comfy). That's where the boyfriend jean comes in.  Not to mistaken for your actual boyfriends jeans; although in high school I did actually wear my boyfriends jeans. I'm not exactly sure what I was thinking because looking back, I know I looked ridiculous.  Could it be though that I was possibly ahead of my time & foreseeing a future fashion trend?!?

Back to the topic, the boyfriend jean.  Their name merely comes from the relaxed style but cut for a women. The leg is typically a straight and offers a baggier fit.  It doesn't conform or hug the leg like a skinny jean. So it makes them a great choice for weekends when you want more of chill vibe.

As with all jeans, not all boyfriend styles are created equal. This pair is probably my most baggy pair of boyfriend jeans. Honestly, I bought these when Rag & Bone first came out with their 'Dre' boyfriend jean and I think they have since modified the style a bit. As my distressed pair is not as lose and subsequent pairs I've tried on seem to be a little more fitted. Nonetheless, if you're giving the boyfriend jean style a go & feel like they might be too baggy, try sizing down from your normal size.  You'll still get a that boyfriend jean look without feeling like your swimming in them.

Have a great day & thanks so much for reading.
