Casual Basics

As much as I love my heels, I love a cute sneaker; probably more so as I've gotten older or maybe because they are being made more feminine, streamlined, and less bulky. The only casual sneaker style shoe that I would wear would be my Converse but in the last couple years I've slowly introduced Nike's, New Balance, and now these Adidas into my everyday wardrobe. I'm in love the grey color. It's a nice neutral that will be perfect all year round color and will go with everything.

Also, I've found a new favorite white t-shirt and it's the husbands. Truth be told, I slept in this shirt, took a shower, and put it back on to go out. That's probably very faux-pas in the fashion world but it was too comfy to not and paired with my rails shirt perfectly. And now that I've been wearing it for a few days, I think I might need to buy my own. Actually, I don't "think", I know I need too because the husband isn't too happy that I'm wearing his shirt. Mind you it's not some fancy shirt, it's just one of his undershirts. So I don't get what the big deal is but he is pretty annoyed that I've taken it for my own. He has more undershirts than I have black t-shirts so he can easily spare one especially since they come in a pack of four. Besides the fact that's it's super comfy, I think the reason I like it so much is that it's solid white and not see through. All my white t-shirts, while are comfy, are pretty thin in material so you can see through them. I tend to find that is the case with a lot of women's white t-shirts. If they are a thicker white cotton, then they are stiff as a board. This one is thicker without being heavy and even in a larger size has that perfect boyfriend looseness and hangs perfectly. I've shopped the men's section many times before but never gave their undershirts a second look. I'll definitely be reconsidering that especially since they come in a four-pack which means each one is less than $10. Sounds like a good deal to me.

You can beat a good white t-shirt and a cute pair of kicks. These two casual basics are easy go-to closet items that you can wear with anything especially going into fall. The white tee works on it's own, under a button down or flannel, under a blazer, or under a warm sweater for fall for an extra layer. And the sneakers look cute paired with jeans, leggings, or even a fall dress.
