Friendly Concealed Carry Tops from the #NSale

With all the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale hype here on SMT, I wasn't gonna let all my concealed carry ladies down. Since carrying concealed, I've noticed a shift in my perspective when shopping for clothes. I find myself shopping with a new set of eyes so-to-speak meaning I'm asking myself the question, "How would this conceal my gun?" While I don't strictly buy items that I can conceal in, it's opened me up to different style options which isn't always a bad thing. Sometimes a t-shirt isn't always appropriate.

The following 10 tops are all great options for concealed carry. Ultimately the goal when shopping for tops to conceal in is to ensure the firearm can be properly concealed, minimize any printing of the gun and holster, and that you can smoothly draw your weapon if needed. When looking for new clothes look for ones that have a print or pattern, come with added hem detail such as peplum hem, tie-knot front, gathered drape/pleat, or a more rigid fabric like a button down. All these tops below have just that in common. Most important though is that if you do introduce a new style top that you also practice drawing & reholstering with the new top so you can identify any areas that might cause you issue when/if the time comes that you need to use your firearm.

As the cooler weather hits another option for carrying concealed is to add an extra layer. Light jackets, blazers, and cardigans are all great pieces to throw on over a top that might not be a good stand-alone concealed carry top. These are great if you prefer a more fitted style top but also want to conceal. You can still carry concealed by adding one of these layering pieces without having to sacrifice your style.
