Coffee Date | No. 19

Happy weekend, friends! How's it going? I'm definitely looking forward to a chill weekend. The weather here in DC has started to feel like fall especially in the mornings but this weekend is supposed to be super nice. So I expect the husband and I will be out and about enjoying the weather. What's your agenda this weekend? Anyone hitting the range?

I'm dreading next week just a little bit because I've got a pretty busy week between work, personal, and SMT commitments but nothing a couple cups of coffee can't make better, right?! So grab your coffee and let's chat.

Will you be doing another holiday gift guide this year, last years was very helpful to me? Yes I certainly am and planning for it to be bigger and better. I just need to find the time to get it done :)

Have you found a corset holster you like for your VP9? Not really but to be honest I haven't really been looking for one. I know that Dene Adams makes a corset style holster but not sure how the sizing for a full-size pistol would fit and feel.

You used to mention The Minimalists books and their podcasts. Do you still follow them and their lifestyle? Yes, I was really really into them when I first came across them and I still am. In fact, I'm going to be seeing them on their tour in a few weeks. As I've mentioned before I really like their message and the mission behind what they are saying. However, I believe you have to take what they say and apply it to your life as you see fit.

Have you changed up your warm-up drills at the shooting since you last posted? Actually, at first I thought "no" and had to go back and read the post. However, I realized that I actually do follow them and it's become such a routine and second nature that I didn't even realize that I'm still doing it. I do have a few variations to them (and I'll update the post to include it) but it's basically the same sequence.

How is the sizing on Rag and Bone jeans. I can't decide if I should go up or down? It depends on the the style - skinny vs boyfriend. For skinny or straight leg R&B jeans I go with my normal size, which is a 28. They fit nice and don't lose their shape even after wearing them for multiple days in a row. For boyfriend jeans, I size down to a 27. They still fit loose but with a little bit more of a fit around the butt. Another option if you are looking for a boyfriend style jean is to size up in a straight leg style.
