Happy Holidays from SMT + Survey

Happy Holidays, friends!

How are you? I'm feeling relaxed and chill knowing that I don't have to actually go into work until after the new year. I've got some baking to finish in prep of Christmas, the husband & I have some delicious meals we plan on cooking this next week, and we'll also be partaking in a little day drinking this holiday season because why the heck not. ;) I want to take this time to wish you a happy holidays and to sincerely thank you for your support of of this little space on the Interweb. As we close out 2017 and I reflect on this past year, I have mixed emotions. While I'm so humbled that SMT continues to grow, there were a few things that I was hoping to launch in these last few months but it didn't happen. Not due to a lack of hustle that's for sure but mainly because things weren't where I wanted them to be. I'm a bit of a perfectionist so I wasn't 100% ready to bring some of these exciting things to your attention. So while I feel little bummed about that I'm not going to let it get me down because I know that when things are ready (2018) it will be great. All the effort, sleepness nights, feelings of throwing in the towel, and girl bossing my way through 2017 has really been worth it. I love this space and love you guys for making it part of your lives.

It's been a great year for SMT and my personal journey in being self-reliant. A few great highlights were being interviewed for Forbes.com, spreading the message that you don't have to sacrifice your style to be self-reliant at many different events through the year, meeting readers and social media friends in person, getting in a lot more range time to improve my shooting skills, and ending the year with a weekend training with Dynamis Alliance.

I want you to know that I appreciate and value every direct message, email, like, share, and comment you provide. I try to respond to every single one, even if it's not in the most timely manner. And if I've missed one, I'm truly sorry - I'll do better. The time you take out of your day to take those actions on social media and the blog means that you are cosigning this journey. That you are part of this community of women that want to be self-reliant. It validates my mission for creating Style Me Tactical and continues to drive my motivation to grow this space.

SMT will be dark during this last week of 2017 as I'll be using this time to recharge and rest. I'll be keeping my laptop shut and giving my body a much needed break from being behind the screen. While things will be quiet here, I do ask for one favor if you could spare the time in the next week or so. While I have big plans for SMTs growth in 2018, I also want to hear from you. I want to know if what I'm thinking aligns with what you want and what you are seeking from this space. I value your time, opinion, and thoughts and want to make sure that SMT is providing you with content that you find valuable, informative, and inspiring. I created a quick (less than 5 minutes) survey that I would really appreciate you answering. I welcome all feedback good or bad as it's invaluable to me to ensure that I'm giving you the best of me and SMT.
