I'm very slowly letting fall creep in by breaking out my oxblood colored jeans. Oxblood is one of my favorite all-time fall colors. I love the vampy, goth-esque vibes of it as it sort of reminds of me of dried blood. I know that sounds totally morbid but 'tis the season...isn't Halloween next month ;)

These jeans are quite old. In fact, I don't even know if the brand is still around {pause for a quick google search}. Alright it appears they are no longer in business, maybe it's because they decided adding faux front pockets was a good idea. Um, it's not. It's rather annoying on many levels. Come to think of it, I'm not sure why I bought these?! Oh right, the color and they have a leather-like finish to them too so that's a bonus.

I did find two other great options in lieu of this Rich & Skinny brand pair and this one with the distressed knees is calling my name. Not to mention it also comes in olive green (#YesPlease). This other pair is currently on sale for $30 and looks super comfy.

While I always stick to denim basics in blue and black washes having a pair in a season-themed color is a great way to switch things up. Don't get me wrong, I'm not one to think wearing blue or black wash jeans on a daily basis is a bad thing but some people are old school. Adding a colored pair to the mix means you can get away with wearing "jeans" to more places where the standard type of jeans might be frowned upon. Paired with a blazer and cute heels or ankle boots, it will be your little secret that you are actually in jeans while everyone else is giving you complements for showing up in something other than, well, jeans.
