In an effort to include more tops in my wardrobe that aren't t-shirts I've been seeking out blouses. There is nothing I can't stand more than clothing that is fussy, which is why I typically stick with t-shirts. They are easy, comfortable, and a good foundation for layering.

In the past I've bought blouses and tops that were cute but within an hour I wanted to rip them off and toss them in the garbage. Mainly because I fell prey to how it looked rather than paying attention to the quality. I've learned that when it comes to upping my top game, I really need to take quality into consideration as well. It makes a world of difference.

As of late I've been gravitating towards silk and cotton blouses. After trying this Equipment top on and then wearing it a few times, it was like an 'ah-ha' moment. It wasn't fussy and it was easy to wear. It's 100% silk so it's comfortable, fits well, and is super soft. It looks good on its own or paired with a blazer, vest, or bomber jacket

If you are looking to add some blouses to your wardrobe but don't want to go with the standard button down look for details such flared sleeves, ruffled shoulders, fun prints, or a non-traditional neckline like this lace up. And speaking of neckline, it can be a bit of a bra challenge with certain tops. I liked the look of a black bra peaking through. However, you can easily go with a nude bra or a lace bralette. I could totally see a bright lace bralette peaking through for date night. Gotta keep things spicy, right?! If you prefer a little more coverage you can wear a camisole tank underneath

What are your favorite style of tops this season?
