The Star of the Show

I truly have a weakness for shoes but, with that being said, I feel that I'm really good at deciding what I add to my collection. In my younger days, any shoe that caught my eye I wanted to have. Granted back then I wasn't able to afford designer shoes so it was a lot easier to add a couple pairs of cute inexpensive shoes to my closet. Nowadays though, I'm much more picky about which pair my shoe savings fund gets spent on. Yes, you need a shoe savings fund when you like expensive shoes. Luckily, I've been around the designer shoe block long enough to know when the designer sales start. When they do, I usually already know from the months before what I'm looking for or more importantly what I'm hoping will go on sale.

These YSL boots are one's I was hoping would go on sale. I scored these Saint Laurent boots last May during the designer sales for $300 (they were originally $1000). Personally, this is a major sale win (cue the happy dance). I'm not going to lie that I love seeing these on my shelf. A bit rock 'n roll mixed with a classic YSL style boot. This chelsea style boot has been around for awhile now in the house of YSL...taking different style names from 'babies' to now 'loulou'. I love that they keep making them in different leathers and prints. I mean, how about these gold metallic ones?!

They are a fun boot that adds a bit of extra to your outfit. And for someone like myself that tends to keep things a bit simple with my outfits, these boots are the perfect accessory.

P.S. I found this amazing dupe of this boot and they are less than $40.
