SHOT Show 2020 Recap & Vlog

Every January I always look forward to heading to Vegas for SHOT Show. This my 4th year and this one was the busiest yet; definitely not complaining. I also was there for a shorter amount of time so I had to pack in my meetings. I thought last year I didn’t have much time to roam the floor or booths but this year I really didn’t. And honestly, there wasn’t anything major that I was hearing about that I had to make a point to go check out so I didn’t feel like I missed much.

Of course all the guns and gear is always so cool to see at SHOT but really what makes it so great is the people. Not only do I get so see my favorite people, I also get to meet many people in the industry that I only talk to via social media. I mean we are basically friends so finally being able to meet them in person just makes it that much sweeter.

This year I made an attempt to Vlog SHOT Show so give it a watch below. I would love it if you also subscribed to my YouTube channel.

SIG SAUER PREMIER MEDIA RANGE DAY

This is one of my favorite parts of SHOT Show. It is, after all, the few times I get to shoot different rifle platforms so it’s always so much fun.

Besides meetings I had, I did have a few booth appointments to check out some gear that had been my list. The Pepperball LifeLight Launcher is on my list of less lethal self-defense tools. And was happy to see some other options at their booth this year. Their Tactical Compact Pistol is now available for civilian use and it uses the same Pepperbell technology that their LifeLight Launcher uses. It’s a bit big in the hands and not sure how it would conceal but nonetheless a great less-lethal option to get you started on the path of personal safety. They also are releasing a single-use Pepperball Compact. It comes preloaded and its disposable. I like the idea and how compact it is but not sure how I feel about it being single-use.

I also was able to checkout some new safe’s. I did swing by my favorite firearm safe, Vaultek and saw some new colors of their LifePod that they are releasing and I can’t wait. I couldn’t snap a photo of them but I know you are going to love them. Speaking of safes, I stopped by the Alpha Guardian booth to see what new products they had. I am really digging this Edge Series. I love how sleek it is and the fact that it has room to store everything from your personal documents, jewelry, and your firearm if you choose. And of course, my favorite everyday carry flashlight from SureFire, the Stiletto has a new and improved version, the Stiletto Pro which now has an aluminum body. Making it an even better flashlight in my opinion.

During Sig Range Day I was able to shoot some pistols and I really fell in love with the Sig P320 XFive Legion. That might be my next firearm. And then of course Sig’s new P365 SAS. Ummm, personally those sights are a bit weird to me. It felt so unnatural at the range and it definitely is going to take some training to be proficient with those aligned sights.
