Studded Flats

I would say that we, DC, have been somewhat lucky when it comes to the typical summer heat and humidity this year. It’s been pretty mild. Well that was up until this past weekend. I was so excited for Fall to be upon us and I was trying to figure out some Fall activities that the husband and I could partake in this past weekend. However, as we kept checking the weather, they were reporting that it was going to be hot (high 80s) and humid. I don’t know about you but 80 degree weather doesn’t exactly scream Fall. So we gave up on that idea and just stuck around the city. Not that I’m complaining, I love it here. We did what we do best, ate our way through some of our favorite spots as well as checked out some up and coming neighborhoods.

Thank goodness for flats and being able to walk-off the food indulgences. As much as I would prefer to wear my heels, they aren’t always practical especially if I know we might be covering a lot of ground. That’s when comfortable and cute flats come in handy. I definitely wasn’t really into believing it was going to be as hot as they said but they were right. Probably not the smartest idea going with jeans and long layer but it’s October. I was comfortable until I started sweating. LOL. I’ll have to wait a few weeks for the legit Fall weather to kick-in I guess.
