Basic Layers

We are moving and shaking right through January. Maybe I feel like the month is going by faster because I've been busy trying to things planned for SHOT Show next week. I'm not one to wish away time but I'll be just fine if the time could move quickly through these colder months. I definitely jumped the gun in wearing this jacket the other day. We had a few warmer days (like 50 degrees) so I thought I was good to go but nope, a cold front swooped right down and it was back to 30 degrees. The sunshine definitely fooled me and wasn't thinking to check the weather...I was probably in hurry to go get some coffee.

Luckily a few of my go-to pieces are great for layering during this time of year. Each season, I like to stock up on my basics like long sleeve t-shirts. I usually buy two or three new ones because I wear them all the time. My favorite long sleeve tees this season are these from Nordstrom. The are comfy, inexpensive (only $19), and come in a variety of colors. These have been holding up pretty well through all the washing so it's possible they'll make it through to another season. I've got them in my staple colors: black, grey, and b/w stripes and make no apologies if you see them on repeat.
