The Arrivals Leather Jacket

There is nothing I love more than when the temperature change and it's finally time for leather weather. When I was young adult, owning a real leather biker jacket was on my dream list. Even after I graduated college and landed my first job, the cost of a real leather jacket was still out of reach. Sure I could've saved my money for months but it just didn't seem practical to drop a months rent on a jacket especially since I had school loans to pay off. A few job changes later, loans paid off, and responsible adulthood setting into full swing I knew that it was within reach.

I appeased my want for a leather jacket on faux leather jackets which have their place (like when it's raining) but I still always longed for the real thing. I think I've been shopping for a real leather jacket for what seems like ten years. I looked at and tried them all from the high-end big boys of Saint Laurent, Balenciaga, and Burberry but they weren't worth the four digit price tag. I shopped and tried all price points but still never really found one that warranted my hard-earned money. I had been following The Arrivals on IG for a few years and lusted over their jackets. However, it wasn't until last Thanksgiving when the husband and I were in NYC that I made it a mandatory pit-stop to hit up their pop-up shop in Soho. Talk about leather heaven. I slipped this baby on and it was magical. I knew I had finally found the one. It feels like butter, fits the way I want, and I just fell in love. You know how the story ends and I say it was meant to be.
