You know I'm a sucker for vest or in this case as it's properly called a waist coat. I would just called it a long vest or duster vest..I mean waistcoat sounds so formal.

I've mentioned before that I don't do a lot of shopping at Zara. However, I do check them out every once in awhile because I always find a few pieces that fit my style so well. This waistcoat is definitely one of them.

I was immediately drawn to the grommet eyelets and unlike my other long vest the material on this one is thicker and heavier. It's really going to be a great transitional and winter season piece. It came with a ribbon to lace through the eyelets but I didn't care for it so I tossed it aside. I prefer it without the ribbon. The other detail that drew me to this piece was the side slits. It made the movement of the waistcoat easy and more comfortable. Since it doesn't have pockets, it was an easy way to access the pockets on my jeans.

I'm hoping to get a few more wears out of it before it starts getting too warm out. Otherwise it will have to wait until fall and winter. Even so, I'm envisioning this being a great concealed carry option next season especially in the cooler months.

Happy Wednesday and thanks for stopping by!
