Cognac Ankle Boots

If there is a color that I’m not really a fan of, that color would be brown. I’m also not a huge fan of bright colors even though I do wear them time to time but honestly, I prefer neutrals and mostly black. I guess brown is like most colors - so many varying shades so maybe I’m using brown loosely. The closest thing to a brown boot that I own is something in the taupe family (seen here and here). I think it’s been a combination of the color and style that has kept me away for so long. I definitely lean towards the cognac shade of the brown family but it’s also gotta be the right color cognac. I’ve seen many that are either too yellow or orange and, to me, doesn’t seem to fit my wardrobe well. That is until I found this pair. Not only is the style perfection so is the color. It’s on the deeper side with less of that yellow that I loathe.

When I tell you I’ve been wearing these nonstop, it’s true. At least once a week since I got them. I like that they have a little bit of a western vibe to them. I also wasn’t expecting how well they would fit into my wardrobe. It’s probably all the olive green I own LOL.

Also, how cute is this fringe plaid coat?! In the colder months when I’m less likely to take off my coat I like having a cute coat that can work as the outfit. It makes dressing easier and I’m all about that. I always get asked about this scarf. It’s nothing special - in fact it’s probably five or so years old. I got it at Nordstrom and it’s rather thin but I think that it always wears nicely. No matter how I drape it or tie it, it always looks cute. The funny thing is that it’s full of holes because one of my little fur babies loved to chew on it.
