Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Favorites

It's finally here and early access to The Mothership's yearly anniversary sale has begun. I've been prepping for the sale with my #NSale Shopping Tips and was able to hit the mecca of all Motherships in Seattle to get a little in-person taste of the sale. My honest opinion of what I've seen online and in-store is that the sale is okay. I definitely think last years sale was much better. Don't get me wrong, there are definitely some great finds and the prices are really good. It seems that the sale is filled with more classic basics, which is always good but the pieces that are more in-style are a bit scarce.

While it might be hard to be thinking, let alone shopping for fall fashion in the summer, some of these items are pieces that you'll be grabbing all season long because they are the essentials. You don't want to be kicking yourself in a few months when you know you could've gotten these things on major sale.

Now is a great time to pick up and/or replace some wardrobe staples such as those black pumps you might be wearing all the time, some new cardiganslong sleeve t-shirts, and especially those undergarments. While closet staples are always needed, it's also a good time to invest in a leather jacket you might have had on your wishlist.

Also, don't forget the sale isn't just for women. There are plenty amazing finds for the mister and the kids. Since it's currently early access, you have to have a Nordstrom credit or debit card to shop, which means you won't be able to shop the links below but hopefully you'll get some inspo for what's available when the sale goes public on July 21. Just a note that the prices listed below are the anniversary sale price.

You know I'm a lover of a good pair of jeans and the offerings this year seem to be a good mix of distressed and non-distressed. What I'm loving are the released/frayed hem jeans. They are a great option for adding a little bit of the distressed look but still looking more put together since you don't have holes running down your leg.

SP Black Angled Skinny Jean {$38.90} |  Madewell High Rise Skinny Jean {$89.90} | Madewell Ripped High Waist Skinny Jean {$89.90} | Rag and Bone 'Dre' Release Hem Boyfriend Jean {$149.90} | 7 For All Mankind 'b(air) Release Hem Skinny Jeans {$99.90} | Current/Elliott Stilleto Highwaist Skinny {$131.90}

Coats, Jackets, & Blazers

As much as I don't care for the colder months, I do love a good coat, jacket, and blazer. This year it seems it's all about the leathers, suede, and fur details and I love it. I easily could've listed all leather type coats here but we all need options other than leather. From blazers to winter parkas any of these items will make a chic layering piece to your cold-weather wardrobe.

Thread & Supply Camo Jacket {$38.90} | Andrew Marc Faux Leather Jacket & Trim {$89.90} | BlankNYC Suede Moto Jacket {$125.90} | Treasure & Bond Moto Jacket {$219.90} | Mural Herringbone Blazer {$58.90}

BlankNYC Bomber Jacket {$64.90} | Tahari Wrap Coat {$149.90} | Madewell Field Jacket {$78.90} | Halogen Asymmetrical Wool Coat {$129.90} | French Connection Parka {$159.90}

Every fall it's always about the boots and this year is no exception. I'm loving all the embellishments and details on this years shoes from the perforatations and cutouts to the studs and straps.
