Episode 68 - Surviving An Active Shooter With Jeff Houston

Gilroy, CA. Dayton, OH. El Paso, TX. Acts of violence can happen anytime and anywhere. That means you should be prepared. This week, Amy and Emily welcome to the show Jeff Houston, a former green beret, security consultant, active threat response instructor, and owner of Tac7. Jeff provides expert tips and advice that everyone can do to survive a violent attack like an active shooter from raising your awareness to running away to improvising. Jeff also provides insight into never ignoring the indicators, being OK with breaking the rules, and if you should ever intervene. The girls and Jeff also talk about training, mental training, and how you can be an asset even if you don't carry a firearm. Finally, they discuss the best types of cover or barricades when you might need to shelter in place.
