Why Having Confidence in Your Holster is Important

I would like to think that I was on top of my style game when I chose to wear this sweater and this holster but I wasn’t. I didn’t realize I was unintentionally matching until I was editing these photos, which is fine by me.

Easy Concealed Carry Look

I picked up this moto jacket at Old Navy last year and it’s been a great layering piece especially during the winter. I can still throw my big parka jacket over it for those brutally cold days. I love that it hits right at the waist, right where I carry my self-defense tool because it disguises any bulge or printing and allows me to carry a bigger framed firearm if I choose.

Concealed Carry During the Winter Can Still Be Cute

It’s easy to succumb to the winter lifestyle of piling on thick heavy layers. After all, it is cold and depending on what mother nature has in store, probably snowing. Personally, I don’t want to leave my house when it’s like that

Cashmere Scarf

I’m kind of shocked at myself that I’ve waited so long to invest in a high quality, warm, and over-sized cashmere scarf. Maybe waiting isn’t the correct word; because I was never waiting for anything. I just never gave it a thought. I have plenty of scarves but none come close to how warm this one is

That's A Wrap

This is about as Fall as DC has been so far or at least from what I’ve been able to see. We’ve had so much rain that the leaves just didn’t really turn into the pretty shades of amber and red. Instead, they just turned brown and yellow. Possibly my two least favorite colors.

Living in Flats

Thank goodness for flats because they are about the only shoes I can wear right now. Why?! Well, some of you may have seen my Instagram story of a couple weekends ago of my swollen foot. I was in Florida and just trying to have a nice evening stroll on the beach with the husband when I felt the sharpest pain in the bottom of my foot.

Glock 43 Concealed Carry

I've slowly been embracing high-waisted jeans and also pants as of late. I'm slowly seeing their benefit as they tend to hold everything in. And as I get older, I'm liking that a lot more.  I've been pretty selective though at picking the right ones to add to my closet.

StealthGearUSA Holster & HKVP9SK

The first gun that I purchased was my HKVP9. I mentioned in my last Style Me Concealed post that the VP9 was the gun that I carried until I got my Glock 43. While not always practical, something is better than nothing. When the subcompact version was released, the HKVP9SK, I knew I wanted to add it to my carry choices.

Mixing Prints with a Fur Vest

I probably shouldn't even mentioned it because I'm sure I'm going to jinx it but we are having a nice little warm weather wave right now.  I'm trying to take advantage of it as much as possibly by sticking to layers instead of heavy coats. Some plaid and a fur vest are easy and do the trick for these odd weather days.

The Star of the Show

I truly have a weakness for shoes but, with that being said, I feel that I'm really good at deciding what I add to my collection. In my younger days, any shoe that caught my eye I wanted to have. Granted back then I wasn't able to afford designer shoes so it was a lot easier to add a couple pairs of cute inexpensive shoes to my closet.

Basic Layers

We are moving and shaking right through January. Maybe I feel like the month is going by faster because I've been busy trying to things planned for SHOT Show next week. I'm not one to wish away time but I'll be just fine if the time could move quickly through these colder months.

The Warmest Parka

The only words running through my head during these last couple of weeks have been curse words. Each time I've reluctantly stepped out of the house, it's been frigid. It's been a temperature I've not experienced in my life. With wind chills in DC, we were down in the negative temps.
