The one thing my closet isn't lacking (besides shoes) are jackets. However, what it is lacking are coats. What's the difference you might be thinking? Well a jacket usually hits at/around the waist and tends to be a bit lighter. While a coat is longer in length, stopping anywhere from the mid-thigh down to the ankles. They are also heavier, which makes them perfect for the frigid winter months. I found this Tahari coat a year ago and immediately realized what I had been missing.
The wrap style designed makes this jacket more feminine and less structured than the standard button down style coats. When worn over bulkier sweaters, I don't feel like I'm trying to stuff myself into a coat. The oversized shawl collar adds extra warmth so you can go sans scarf if you choose plus it can also be worn over your head as hood. That's win for those windier or unexpected snow flurries.
This wrap coat comes in so many colors and I always find it on sale. The burgundy, grey, and olive are on my list.
Have a great day! Thanks so much for reading.
